Terms of Service for Alright

Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Alright (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

This description applies to the unlocked on-device version, 1.1.1 build 8, being prepared for App Store review. It does not mean that this build is available to download. Earlier test builds may behave differently.

Description of Service

Alright is a personal mental health tracking application that allows you to:

• Log mood, energy, and anxiety levels
• Record voice notes about your emotional state
• View trends and patterns in your data
• Generate optional on-device AI summaries from your check-ins, requiring an Apple Intelligence-compatible device, Apple Intelligence enabled and its model ready. Language and region availability may vary; there is no cloud fallback
• Export data for personal use or to share with healthcare providers

• AI-generated insights are for informational purposes and should not be considered medical advice
• The App does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any mental health condition
• If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a mental health professional, call your local emergency services, or contact a crisis helpline immediately
• Always consult with qualified healthcare providers regarding any mental health concerns

App Purchase and Previous Subscriptions

Version 1.1.1 includes all local features with the app, without a subscription. The intended upfront US download price is $1.99. Local prices may differ and are shown by the App Store before purchase. The price is activated in coordination with the unlocked release; this document does not announce that the update or price is live. Existing users receive the update without another app purchase.

Previously paid terms and saved records remain available. No service is shut down. The monthly and yearly subscription products are retired in coordination with the unlocked release to stop new signups and renewals. Removing subscription screens, uninstalling the app or deleting app data alone does not cancel an Apple renewal. Manage previous subscriptions and check renewal status in your Apple account.

Until retired, the previous 1.1.0 version uses Apple’s existing subscription terms: US $4.99/month or $39.99/year, with a 14-day introductory trial where Apple confirms eligibility. Trial starts at Apple purchase confirmation; subscriptions renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Older versions retain their access gate; update to 1.1.1 when available to use all features without it.

On-device AI requires compatible hardware, enabled Apple Intelligence, supported language/region and a ready model. A purchase does not make unsupported hardware compatible. Records, charts, basic therapy prep and sharing work without AI.

Apple handles purchases and refund requests under its policies. No automatic refund from the app update is promised. Contact Apple Support for billing help.

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when using the App
• Use the App only for lawful purposes
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or distribute the App
• Not use the App if you are under 13 years of age

Intellectual Property

• Alright and all associated content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws
• You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes

Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:

• Your check-in data is stored locally; this version does not implement iCloud synchronization
• We do not have access to your personal health data
• AI summaries are generated locally using Apple’s on-device model after enablement, with no cloud sharing or fallback

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or us.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
